Fall-Winter 2023
BEGINS SEPTEMBER
TRYOUTS: AUGUST 25 & 26 AT 4:00 PM
We're doing something new this year.
TRYOUTS
In order to preserve a quality experience for all of our teammates, we are hosting two TRYOUT sessions prior to the official start of the season! The purpose for the TRYOUT is for the coaches to assess the best program fit for your young athlete so they can get the most out of practice sessions.
We've added 2 new programs... After School Club and Weekend Warrior!
Weekend Warriors
Ages 4-6
Saturdays
9:30-10:30 am
Young climbers will learn, play, build their coordination, strength, develop their proprioception, and practice new climbing techniques through fun bouldering activities.
This is a great starting point for any child looking to be introduced to the fundamentals of climbing as a sport.
After School Club
Ages 6-10
Tuesdays & Thursdays
4:00-5:00 pm
Kids will build strength, coordination, self-confidence, and social skills by climbing together in a fun and supportive environment.
Activities are focused on learning about all things climbing, including techniques, vocabulary, and how to be a kind and respectful member of the climbing community.
This fun-filled social environment can help your kiddo grow as individuals by practicing creative problem solving and resilience to failure.
Rec Team
Ages 6-12
Tuesdays & Thursdays
5:30-7:00 pm
A twice-a-week team practice for young athletes who demonstrate a personal interest in the sport of climbing, focus during practice, and enthusiasm for improvement.
This team introduces athletes to physical, mental, and technical rock climbing skills in a more structured training environment. Build strength, coordination, self-confidence, and social skills. Participation in entry-level competitions is encouraged.
Comp Team
Ages 10-17
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday
4:00-6:30 pm
The competition team ('comp team' for short) is for driven and dedicated athletes.
This three-times-a-week practice emphasizes taking your climbing abilities to the next level through fun, supportive, and rigorous competition-specific training. Build strength, coordination, agility, self-confidence, social skills, emotional resilience and hone your strategic abilities. Together, we train for State and Regional-level climbing competitions. Participation in USA Climbing competitions is mandatory.
